Swedish nuclear reactor closed after fire –Spokesman: Not immediately clear when nuclear plant will reopen 23 Oct 2011 A nuclear reactor in southern Sweden has been shut down after a fire at the plant. Plant operator OKG’s spokesman Anders Ostberg says a fire started in a turbine hall of Reactor 2 around midnight Saturday but was quickly extinguished by local rescue workers. Ostberg said Sunday the blaze appears to have been caused by oil that leaked onto a hot surface.
